Farewell Flossie

On Thursday my dear cousin Flossie was very sick due to renal failure and had to be helped to the Rainbow Bridge . Her Mom, my Auntie M, is very sad, and I would like to ask my kittie friends all to purr for her. Flossie was her very dear companion.

Flossie lived a good long life: she was nearly 16 years old. She chose to adopt her Mom, because the family she lived with 11 years ago had some dogs who were a little too lively for her. Auntie M worked it out with her first owners for her to become her family.

Sweet Flossie, we know you are in a good place at the Rainbow Bridge, having fun with all the kitties and doggies who have gone before, especially those from my Mom and Auntie M's family. We will not forget you.

We love you, Flossie's Mom. Flossie was very fortunate to have you for her Mommy.

If anybuddy wants to leave a message for my Auntie M, you can do so in the comments. I am sure she will read them. We have asked Gracie to let us adopt a special Angel Squillion in honor of Flossie, and when it arrives it will go permanently on my sidebar.

  1. Aw, we're so sorry to learn about Flossie. I can imagine how sad your Auntie M is because I remember how sad my mom was when my old sis Sophie went to the bridge because of the same thing. Purrs be with your auntie, and let her know the gang on the other side has a beautiful new playmate.

  2. Flossie looks like such a beautiful girl, sounds like she had a lovely life with your Auntie M! It is so hard when one of our kitties goes to the bridge although I'm sure Flossie is no longer in pain.

Please accept my sincere condolences and Molly, Casper Ben and Archie send their healing purrs!

  4. They say it's the life in your years that counts, not the years in your life...we know what an empty spot feels like after sharing a life for 16 years...she was loved, that is the sweetest memory.

  20. We are saddened by Auntie M's loss. Flossie was a beautiful kitty and 16 years is a long time to share love and make memories.

We'll send a special prayer Heavenward to ask our Chuckles to meet Flossie at the Bridge; we lost him to the same disease in 2003.
