The picture we posted a few days ago that shows Simba UNDER the chair, looking cautiously at the Baby, would qualify, but we just used it. So Mom couldn't resist showing this one of the Baby back in February. She couldn't crawl forwards yet, but could go backwards, so she got herself backed up under the furniture.
Now, 3 months later, she is an accomplished crawler and is close to being able to walk. World, here she comes!

Back to Four Again
Our Baby and her Mama have gone home, so it is back to the 2 humans plus 2 cats again. Wow, it was busy while she was here. Every time she saw us, it was speedy crawling to try to catch us! Audrey enjoyed the attention, and would move just a little away, then stop, over and over. Baby was pretty good with gentle pats and liked Audrey's whiskers.
Baby learned to climb the stairs, so the humans spent quite a bit of time being sure she wouldn't fall back down. Her Mama says they will try to buy a house with stairs, but we think it would be good to wait till she knows how to go back down safely! Dad worked with her to teach her backing down, but maybe next time she visits they will try to install some gates, just to be on the safe side. Pretty soon she will be walking, we think.
Here is a shot Mom clipped out of a short video that she can't show, because she turned the point and shoot camera sideways when she took it! She can't rotate the whole video but she could rotate the screen shot.
Sadly, she developed a bad cold on Monday and was pretty miserable for the rest of Monday and Tuesday. Though she still managed to have some fun with her drippy nose and short fuse as a result of feeling crummy. Fortunately she did ok on the plane trip home, as all the adult humans were a bit worried about flying with a sickish baby.

Friends
Audrey is being very sweet with the Baby and the Baby is trying so hard to play with us both. I am much more cautious than Audrey:

Fab Friday
Kitties, Audrey's T4 levels are normal! We are doing the happy dance here. She is still taking her pills like they are candy (in a pill pocket), and she still eats well (overly well, in fact). The Vet Man says she gained 1.3 lbs since the last checkup 3 weeks ago, when she was 8.1 lbs. So now she weighed 9.4lbs. That is very good news, since it helps to show that her thyroid hormone levels are more right. She does nap more than before (thank Cod!) but is not lethargic. So crossed pawsies this continues.
She is now a little more chunky than this picture taken a couple of weeks ago, though the way she is lying on her side, she actually doesn't look as thin as she was. Mom and Dad say they could really see the weight loss in her face.
The humans have been feeding her whenever she wanted, so now a little discipline is going to have to be the order of the day, otherwise she will get TOO fat.

What is in a Name?
Posting over at the Tabby Cat Club Today, about our names:
It is really interesting to learn about how our friends got their names!!

Happy Saturday
Have a great weekend, friends! I am glad to be a cat and not have to deal with "seasonal allergies"! Mom says as soon as things start to look pretty, she starts to sneeze. Can cats be allergic to people like people can be allergic to cats? It is too much work to have to think about things like that. I think I will take a nap on my checkered blankie.

Some Words Wednesday
This is what I think of the perpetrators of the bombings in Boston:
I am saying some pretty strong HBO words.
Purrs for those who were killed or injured, and for their families. We all hope that those responsible will soon be identified.
4/19/13 8:50 pm: What a relief. We hope there are no more collaborators out there.

What NERVE!
Audrey may not be a kitten like Katie's Waffles Too, but she still ought to know her place in the family is SECOND CAT!

Saturday Snuggles
Audrey here, friends. I am doing OK. My vet had to increase my dosage of methimazole because my T4 levels were still elevated when checked 10 days ago (13, down from 23. Goal is below 4). The higher dose means for the first time I don't actually clean my food bowl instantly when I eat. That is good because I sure was eating a lot of food for a kitty my size.
I do seem to be more subdued. My humans have some concern that I am starting to scratch at my face between my eyes and ears more, and they are monitoring that.
Here I enjoy a little snuggle while websurfing with my Dad.
