Helping Joe the Donkey

Poor Joe the donkey of Margs Animals has been badly hurt, getting caught up in the barbed wire of a fence and sustaining some horrible cuts and injuries.        Brian and Terry of Brian's Home have set up a fundraising website to help to raise money for Joe's vet expenses.     If you can donate even a small amount it will be a help.  Click on the link below the image of Joe to go to the fundraising website.

Boxing Day

We had a nice, quiet Christmas.    I got three great toys that I didn't play with.     Now it is time to get ready for action.   Here I am trying to wake myself up to go and shop the Christmas sales!    

I have totally taken over this leather chair with the afghan on it.    Mom and Dad do not stand a chance.

Christmas Eve

Merry Christmas Eve to all my friends and their humans!     It is a busy day here.  Lots of last minute things to do and the peeps will go to church tonight.       No more napping for ME:  I have to keep watch for Santa and not let him slip by me.  

 I understand Dad ran into an elf at Petsmart and told him what I wanted for Christmas.     I have been pretty good (except for when I bit Mom and made her hand get all infected) so I don't think I will get coal.

Resting up On the Eve of Christmas Eve

Kitties, I have to try to stay awake tomorrow night, so I am resting a lot today so I will be able to.  

And here is a very special ornament on our tree, given to the humans by my Auntie M 35 years ago.    It is made from stained glass from the National Cathedral in Washington DC.    The color is purple, which doesn't show very well in the photo.  

Santa Watch

Just checking out the tree in case Santa is in it.     I don't get to be close to the tree much, because it is in our living room, which can be closed off from CATS by some french doors.

New Rug

My humans have a new old rug in the family room.     Do you like it?  It belonged to my human grandfather.       I kinda like it.    But Mom says I am not allowed to throw up on it.     I don't know about that.  I think a hairball would add a certain something that is missing.

Back Briefly

Hi, friends.     Mom said she would help me write a short post.    You can see me enjoying the snuggly blanket on the sofa that Mom uses to keep warm on these chillier days.     Mom and Dad weighed me yesterday and I was 10 lbs so I have slowly been losing some weight.  Mom says beneath my furs I am rather thin.    I eat most of my foods if they are mashed and I do throw up on occasions but I don't seem sick.   I am 12 1/2 now.
