Toys

I have read with interest other cats' and dogs' posts about their excitement over new Christmas toys. I have a very limited attention span for any purchased cat toys. Note the bored look on my face when looking at one of my new Christmas balls. However I will play with things not intended to be toys: rubber bands, a balled up piece of paper or foil, etc. Yesterday I discovered a 7-sided plastic container my Mom puts her daily vitamins into so she doesn't forget to take them (one small compartment for each day of the week) and I discovered I could use it like a hockey puck on the carpet. I had a fun game with it.

Mom says she is going to have a garage sale to get rid of all the cat toys I never play with*, so some other kitty can have some fun with them!

*Edited to add: or she could give them to a shelter

  3. I think your Mom's yard sale will do great with all the cat toys. She'll make a fortune!

  4. We have some toys too we don't play with anymore. It's funny with us: Every new toy seems to be our favourite and after some time we lose interest. That keeps mom buying new stuff. ; ) Mom will give our unwanted stuff to a shelter one day.

  5. The shelter is a very good idea - Mom doesn't need to be paid for my toys, she just doesn't want them going to waste.

  6. Actually, Simba, you have probably not yet met THE toy for you. We're pretty sure there is that ONE for each and everyone of us!

  7. I love to play with things that aren't toys too. Found toys are always the best!

  8. This does not surprise me in the least Simba! My cats would agree with you. They prefer bottle caps and balled up aluminum foil. Just like toddlers and boxes i guess!

  9. Pucks (stuff that can be used as...) are Cliffs favorites.

I prefer strings, and boxes and table tennis balls and strings.

    But "real" toy: Blah.

  11. We agree, "found" toys are the best. We are currently obsessed with an empty toilet paper roll.

  13. We have lots of toys too and we play with most of them - some we play with every single day. It's fun to put them under the closet doors and make Mommy come get them out!
