Rain, Rain, Go Away

No picture today - it is pouring with rain again today (it rained most of Sunday night and Monday too). Even my brain is getting soggy and Mom says there is no point in taking any pictures of me sleeping on the couch in the semi-dark. Hopefully by the weekend I can show a picture of something fun out on the deck.

I thought it was supposed to be March winds and April showers (bring forth May flowers). This is like March Monsoons.

Fresh Catgrass Breakfast

This is my first "acting" job - notice how I enter from stage right and exit to stage right! Or is it left?
I guess this could be an advertisement for Nibble-Licious cat grass seeds.

Floofy Friday

This picture is a slight flashback - it was taken over a year ago. But it nicely shows off my floofiness and the white under my chin. Mom and I don't know what I was looking at - probably Dad snapping his fingers so I wouldn't look down.

Have a great weekend everybuddy!

The Photo Game

Many kitties are participating in the Photo Game. The instructions are as follows:

Open your first photo folder. Scroll down to the 10th photo. Post that photo and tell the story behind it. Tag 5 more bloggers.

I chose the "kitties" album on our computer and the 10th photo was this one, which is of my brother Rusty when he was still alive. It was taken on December 27th, 2003. It was my first Christmas in my new home, and Rusty's 10th Christmas here. The digital camera was brand new. This is my Mom's favorite photo of Rusty.

Since I was not officially tagged by name to do this, I won't name 5 other bloggers but I will encourage all the overseas cats who read my blog to consider doing the game if they have not done it already.

Flower Blogging

For today, my blog has nothing to do with me and my Antics. Mom and Dad went to an orchid show. Here are some pictures of the flowers they saw.

Thankful Thursday

I am very thankful for the nice warm sunny weather we have had for the past 2 days. I am also very thankful for this mat Dad keeps out on the deck for me, in my favorite corner. I don't like to sit on the wood. When things get even nicer, I know Dad will set up a couple of chairs for me for shade, and some nice soft towels to lie on. I am super thankful for my Dad.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

No fancy photos or graphics, but an Irish Blessing for all my friends and family (My Mom and Dad both have some Irish ancestors).

May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

May God be with you and bless you:
May you see your children's children.
May you be poor in misfortune,
Rich in blessings.
May you know nothing but happiness
From this day forward.

May the road rise up to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the warm rays of sun fall upon your home
And may the hand of a friend always be near.

May green be the grass you walk on,
May blue be the skies above you,
May pure be the joys that surround you,
May true be the hearts that love you.

Indignant

I am turning my back for a reason. I am very mad. Today in the mail we received our 2010 US Census form. It said "Resident" and our address. Yet when Dad looked over the form, he said there was no place to list cats and dogs or other pets. Unbelievable. I am just as much a "resident" here as Mom and Dad are. Cat bloggers should start their own Census!

In other news, Mom has been cutting off pieces of the cat grass for me and I am eating them, either out of her hand, or from the floor. So far, so good as far as any upchucking is concerned - it seems I am digesting it just fine.

My Catgrass

Can you believe it, I have never experienced catgrass before today. My parents really have been depriving me. About 2 weeks ago, my Dad bought some seeds for growing catgrass at PetSmart. And today was the big day when he presented it to me. I dove right into it and would have consumed the whole lot in one sitting if they had not dragged me away, wanting to first see how my digestion holds up to it. One good thing is that Dad only had to use a small % of the seeds to grow this batch, so I have a chance of getting it on a regular basis if I don't hack it back up all over everything. And I hafta say, this REAL Green Stuff is way better than "Greenies" treats.

What is your opinion of the stuff? Have you ever had it? Do you eat it regularly?

Funny Bunny on Friday

When the last big snow was melting, there was a stage when it had melted enough around the edges of the deck to show a narrow band of the wood, but was still covering the deck over most of its surface. My favorite place to look out is from the far corner, so I tip toed all the way around the edge to get there, making sure not to walk on any of the snow! Mom and Dad say I am a funny bunny. I say you gotta do what ya gotta do to keep your toes dry!

Let Sleeping Lions Lie

Last night I was sleeping on the couch (as usual!) and was smooshed into the corner, making me look like a REAL lion with a full mane. Simba was definitely the right choice for a name when my first owners gave it to me.

Lazy Sunday

I discovered that Mom had put my messy blankie in the laundry basket to wash it, so I snuggled in for a lovely nap. Spent 92% of today sleeping, 6% eating and 2% for a quick stint on the deck - the weather was quite warm, but the deck still has cruddy melting snow piles on it, as well as sticks and birdseed hulls that surfaced as the snow melted. It needs a good cleanup before I will want to hang out there for long. The Mom and Dad spruced up the inside of the house quite a bit yesterday, but haven't gotten to the deck yet.

I hope you all had a wonderful Sunday.

Feather Wand Friday

This photo is blurry because it is an Action Shot. My previous post about the feather wand toy showed me being extremely leery of it. This picture proves that sometimes I just cannot resist attacking a moving object, even though it is sort of scary. Note I am still trying to stay as far away as possible while I grab it.

My New Family Members

I am so excited to announce that I have adopted FOUR VSquillions from the Official Cat Blogosphere Virtual Squillions Shelter! These are Angel VSquillions as you can see from their halos and wings. They are named in honor of the four kitties who came before me in this family. Thank you so much to the shelter keepers, especially to Gracie, for sending me these pictures of them that I have put on my sidebar. Welcome angel kitties!
