Toesday?
I am mostly lying on my toes in this picture. But you can see them if you look hard. I have very stubby toes, on account of the fact that my previous owners had me declawed long before my Mom and Dad got me from them. Though my Mom and Dad would not take a kitty to be declawed themselves, they notice that I do seem to do fine with my clawless front feet, and even "shred" the sofa with them on occasions.
During the Christmas holidays I get more chances to go into the living room, a sacred place that is usually off limits for kitties due to the potential for breakage of Precious Things, as well as the intolerance of the rug and white couch to Cat Barf. Here I am doing my Lion in the Cave imitation under the coffee table, where it is a little harder for Mom to get a hold of me and remove me from the room. I was also catching part of a nice sunspot.

Such cute little toesies! Maybe you are almost laying on the to keep them warm. I am glad that you got to share in the special room for the Christmas holiday times. You are too sweet to break anything that was precious to your folks.
ReplyDeleteWith the pawsibility of such handsome photos you'll surely be allowed more often into the living room. We're glad to hear you're doing okay with your clawless front toesies, but looking at our 3m cat tree we wonder how we would get up there without claws.
ReplyDeleteYour toes look lovely with or without claws (it's good to know you're doing well without them).
ReplyDeleteThe living room looks like a nice place :-)
You've got a good spot there, Simba! We call sitting like that "doing the meatloaf."
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you are doing well without your claws, I hope it didn't hurt too much. Your photo is lovely the way the light is playing across your fur.

You are looking particularly gorgeous in that photo, Simba!
ReplyDeleteDeclawing... it's actually illegal everywhere within the European community, as is cutting dog's ears and docking tails (except for hunting dogs).
It's us again! In response to your comment about our comment... you can still dock cocker spaniels' tails in France as they are considered to be hunting dogs. Same goes for springer spaniels, like Tommy who has a slightly long-docked tail. The logic is that any dog that is likely to go into hedges and bushes after prey could injure itself badly if it had a long tail.
ReplyDeleteYou have lovely toes. The Siamese who came before came declawed and she seemed to have no issues either and she used the cat post like the rest of us!
ReplyDeleteAh yes, the forbidden living room. We have a couple forbidden counter tops here, but we jump up on them after everyone has gone to bed. Hee hee.
ReplyDeleteWe think your toes make you look bigger! xoxo
That is quite a nice photo of you, Simba! You look very content in that sun spot.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very good photo of you!
ReplyDeleteMichico says she wanns kiss both of your front toesies~
That is a great photo of you Simba! What does it mean that a room is "off limits"? We don't know those words.
