Mancat Monday

It was a sad weekend with both Inigo and Miss Patches going to the Rainbow Bridge. I know how hard a thing it is for kitties' or doggies' parents to help them on their way, but also that it is the final act of kindness they can do for their beloved furchild. I do not like to think about my time, but I hope my parents will have the strength to help me if I need it. They had to do so for two of the Ones Who Came Before Me, Kimi and Smudge.

Here it was another big lot of leaf-clearing yesterday. Mom and Dad did a lot of errands on Saturday and went to "exercise" , then dad cleared leaves yesterday afternoon. This photo is from last weekend, but it looked the same this weekend! BIG piles. I had a little time out with my harness and leash. I still don't like them, but seem to be adjusting a bit.

  1. You look like a royal lion there Simba :) Did you manage to run into the leaf pile and destroy it ? I didn't like my harness much but was able to escape it a few times, hehehe.
And we agree, it's been a sad weekend. None of us want to think about what will happen to us - you write a very brave post. Respect! Purrs to you x

  2. You look great out there in the leaves, Simba, and we're glad you're (sort of) getting used to your harness and leash!

  3. Yes it was a very sad weekend indeed. We all loved Inigo and it is so hard when they go to the bridge so young. I was heartbroken when Molly left in September, but at almost 19 I know she had a lood, long life. It just seems like Inigo was cheated being only 4. I didn't know Miss Patches very well, but I am terribly sad for her family too.

We've been holding our fur babies tight and giving them extra kisses and hugs since the sad news!

  5. It was a very sad weekend and our mommy kept leaking from thinking of Inigo. We're so sorry for the Rumbles family.

You look so handsome there guarding your leaves Simba! We're glad you're getting used to your harness too.

  7. Simba, our Mommy has had to make that same sad choice, too. It is never easy.

You make sure to enjoy those leaves...maybe you could mail us a boxful if you have any to spare...MOL!

  8. Maybe you could jump in that big pile of leaves, Simba!! Most of our leaves are gone now...the trees are pretty bare.

  9. You are lucky Simba. We humans don't get that option.

    Love your leaves!

  11. Simba, it looks like that dumb harness and leash is kind of ruining your fun with the leaves! That is a bummer.

My human was out of town when she found out about Inigo and Patches. We were both very upset.

  13. We're glad you're beginning to adjust to your Puppia, Simba!

We have lots of leaves too, but they are all soggy from the rain we've had!

  15. Hi Simba! We are also sad that so many of our friends have had to leave for the bridge lately. We also think that it is so sad but so good that the furry moms and dads can be selfless and let their furry babies go when the time comes, instead of making them stay and suffer needlessly. We know it is so hard - our mom had to do that with our big brother Floyd and though she misses him every day she knows she made the best choice for him, instead of just worrying about her own feelings.

We think you look very handsome today - we have missed seeing you since our mom's stupid computer at work got blocked!
