I got my rabies shot yesterday afternoon- it was a bit traumatic but over quickly. Our town had a rabies clinic at the fire station, which is only a very short ride away, so I didn't have to endure a car ride to the Vet's. I was pretty frantic when Mom stuffed me into the carrier, though. But I DID get a written certificate! Mom can take it to the town offices in January when she has to get me a license. Do you think it will be a license to drive?
I think it might be a Run Away License ( from VET )
ReplyDeleteI hate the V-E-T too!!!
ReplyDeleteI doubt you will be able to drive a car. I just hope it isn't a license to allow your human to keep putting that confounded harness on you!
ReplyDeleteSparkle: I am afraid it WILL be. The town ordinance that goes into effect January 1 requires all cats to have a license and to wear the tag. So whenever I go outside I will need either it or a collar on. Nuts.
ReplyDeletePoor Simba. We don't have to wear collars or harnesses because we're so far way back out in the country. But that rabies shot stuff.....we don't like it either. Janes always gets scaird and poops her pants when she gets hers.
ReplyDeleteA license to drive would be cool Simba!
ReplyDeleteOnce when we were in the car taking Casper to relatives, he stood up on Robert's lap and put his paws on the steering wheel...we thought he would be a good driver - lol!
A drivers license would be great. You could be like Toonces, that cat on the old Saturday Night Live episodes!
ReplyDeleteRaymond and Busby, that made Mom chuckle. She definitely remembers Toonces the Driving Cat now that you have said that.
ReplyDeleteI added myself to follow your blog. You are more than welcome to visit mine and become a follower if you want to.
ReplyDeleteGod Bless You :-)

So all cats have to have licenses in your town? None of us get rabies shots, except for Tommy of course.
ReplyDeletePurrs,
The Chans
Poor Simba, getting frantic in your carrier...we feel bad for you. And then getting STABBED, too. That is 592 kinds of Wrong.
ReplyDeleteThe Baby is regularly escaping her harness so it's back to the drawing board for Mommy!
heh heh.
If you do get a license to drive, we'll send you our address so you can come visit! We don't have any licenses or harnesses or even collars since we're trapped inside all the time. We do have chips though but we don't think it's like the chips Daddy eats during the football game.
ReplyDeleteThat would be so cool if you could drive. Then we could really do a great find Chey--you could drive me all over the place!
ReplyDeleteGosh, I got very frighted when I heard about another injeshun but mummy says we don't have rabies over here so I don't have to have one of those phew. Poor you, I hope it didn't hurt too much, but mummy says you don't want to get ill. xx
ReplyDeleteHaha, Chey, yes that would be cool.
ReplyDeletePrincess Jasmine, I am very glad there is no rabies in the UK. I hope it stays that way forever.
Wow! We hope it's a license to drive!! Just like Toonces the Cat!
ReplyDeleteA driving license would be great. You could take us all on a road trip.
ReplyDeleteWe have to get our shots in case we go to the kittie spa overnight. Otherwise I don't think mum would have us get them and Derby doesn't like going to the vet at all anymore, they give him his shots first. After that they can't do much with him.
ReplyDeleteMy Mom will be putting me in the carrier soon for my rabies shot. She said I shouldn't have to cuz I don't go outside. They said it's the Law here. Simba, I hope they didn't hurt you.
ReplyDeleteKassey
Maybe it's a pilot's license?
ReplyDeleteErm ... we fink it's a licence for more TREATS!
ReplyDeleteHi Simba! WE think you look cute out in your harness - we are sorry that it is getting cold so you won't be out too much now! We think you are lucky that you didn't have to go too far for your shot - our vet is a long drive away! And hm, your license huh? The only kind of license we know of is for driving, so that has to be it, doesn't it!
