The computer is not fixed, but by using a laptop connected to it, it looks like Mom is going to be able to transfer their files, because the hard drive is still alive. It will be tedious but doable, she thinks. Then they can decide if it is worth spending the money to fix it. Luckily, she also has copies of all their Alaska trip photos on her laptop so she could do this post for me.
Well, your computer might not be alive but these whales are! Have a good Saturday Simba!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! How nice. Of course, I'll bet Alaska was beautiful too.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a cool picture. Good luck getting the computer files transferred.
ReplyDeleteWe are not familiar with whale anatomy. But we think your Mom might be right!
ReplyDeleteGood news on the hard drive and photos. Both of our Parents have external hard drives they back up on. It's saved their bacon (YUM!) at least twice!
pee ess: use your crankypants freely!
We think that is an excellent photo! We saw two whales breach at the same time too when we were in Alaska--so yes there are plenty of whales left!
ReplyDeleteGetting alive photos from a dead computer - kind of ironic!
ReplyDeleteI'm happy with your photo from survival hard drive because that whale is tuxie same as me : )
ReplyDeleteThat is one heck of a whale tail!
ReplyDeleteWonder if whale tastes like tuna. Hmmm. We're glad your mom can save the photos of you and that the Alaska ones were okay too.
