Trouble on Tuesday

These pictures were taken a few weeks ago. I am obeying Mom and heading back to the deck, since I know I was not supposed to escape. However the urge is great. My friends know all about the Funhouse, and other efforts to keep me contained, and they are having some success. However today I am going to the V-E-T for my checkup, and Mom is going to ask them to give me a microchip as well as my shots. She would feel just a little bit better in case I ever do wander away from home.

I have no idea what is in store for me this afternoon. Just getting me to get into my PTU is going to be an adventure. Mom says I will most likely talk all the way there. But even though I will be nervous, I will purr for the vet. Because I am like that.

How many of you have a microchip capsule in your neck?

  1. Purrs that it goes well Simba!! We aren't chipped but we probably should be. Just in case.

  2. We're crossing our paws that it will be quick, Simba. We boys are microchipped, done by the shelter at the time of neutering, but Annie is not microchipped. She was adopted before it was common practice to microchip and our human never got around to doing it.

  3. We're sending purrs that your trip to the vet goes well Simba! We were both chipped at the shelter but our big sisfur Sadie isn't chipped. Even though we're chipped, our mommy won't let us go outside because she's a worry wart so we're glad your mom and dad keep an eye on you when you're outside and that your mom is getting you chipped just in case!

  4. Ichiro has a microchip. We still need to send in his tracking information and pay for that though! Of course Gemini and I don't--but we never go out. The Woman has thought about it but not this year!

  5. Hi Simba, all of my kitties are microchipped. Don't be scared it is done very quickly and it didn't seem to hurt any of them.

It is a good idea in case you accidently get lost, I'm glad you are getting one too :-)

  6. We aren't "chipped" but mama wishes we were, although we are strictly indoor cats.

We're happy to hear you are getting one, especially as you get to go outside and are wanting to be adventurous. We don't want your mama and daddy to lose you, and we definitely don't want to lose you!!!!!!!

  7. Don't be mean to your mommy or the nice people at the V-e-t! Remember they are doing this because they LOVE you!

  8. We are not chipped, and we are indoors only except for The Baby who gets a supervised outing in the mornings in our walled back yard.

Simba, try singing some Wagner opera in the car, or do like Johnson--he does an excellent fire siren impersonation. It's first class.

  10. Good luck at the vet Simba. I always holler when I go in the PTU.

  11. We ALL have microchips... and they are all out of date! My human needs to change our addresses! And if someone finds Boodie, she still has the microchip from the rescue where she was fostered out! This is not good!

  12. Momma hasn't microchipped any of us.
She says that none us try to even go near the doors anymore, so none of us are escape artists. We know the value of microchipping and we can see why it is a valuable tool for so many.

  14. We are all micro-chipped, except for Sei-Chan, and that is only because she has "slipped through the cracks" so far. Her time will come! And Tommy is micro-chipped too!
