Before my human brother's wedding, my folks spent a little time in the Smoky Mountains. They didn't go on this trail, though!
They can tell you a story about a shelter and a bear from an overnight hiking trip in the Smokies a squillion years ago, ........... if you are willing to believe them.
They didn't hike it all the way?
ReplyDeleteWe don't blame them for not taking the trail if there were bears - especially aggressive ones!
ReplyDeleteWhoa! It's a good thing they did not go on that trail! This makes me glad I am an indoor-only kitty. I have yet to see any aggressive bears in here.
ReplyDeleteCool sign! Momma's never been to the Smokies.....now she wants to go! But, maybe not on that trail.
ReplyDeleteYeow! Mommy says she would have stayed away, too! Probably as far as the nearest Hilton. Mommy is spoiled.
ReplyDelete*sigh*
I think it was a very good idea they didn't continue on that trail.
ReplyDeleteOh running into a bear would not be good!! Our mom spent some time in the Smokies a squillion years ago too...she said it was really beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteWe wouldn't want to be anywhere near that trail either.
ReplyDeleteHi Simba, your Smokey Mountains look so beautiful (I just googled them)
ReplyDeleteWe are avid hikers in this family, we've done trips to hike in Utah and Hawaii but I'm thinking a trip to the southeast may be in order :-) But we would definitely like to avoid the bears!
My mommy lives just a few miles from there.
