BUT, I did get to do some exploring last week, and I was checking out the yew bushes. This past winter, the whitetail deer who visited our garden to eat the acorns also tucked into the yew bushes. OMC, they have really chewed back some of them almost to the "bone"! Dad says he hopes they grown back better than ever, but for now they look a lot bare. That is one of the yews behind me.
You look very at home out in the garden, Simba!
ReplyDeleteGoodness! That is chewed to the bone. I guess that's natural pruning...

Oh Simba, Jonesie says you are "in"...just like the C09T gang...all you have to do is dream!
ReplyDeleteThose deer sure know how to cut back on tree growth. You look furry handsome, Simba. A tree spirit!
ReplyDeleteWhere's the nip patch at?
ReplyDeleteI can't join the garden kitties because mom never lets me outside.
ReplyDeleteOur garden is pretty shady, Inigo and Rumbles, so Dad grows me some nip in a pot in a sunny part of the deck. He needs a new plant this year - I hope he will get around to it this weekend!
ReplyDeleteSimba, those vishus deers ate a lot of our bushes this winter too...like our holly bushes...they are almost stripped bare!!
ReplyDeleteHope you get some nip planted in your garden!

We're looking forward to hearing about your deck plants. But we're also amazed that the deer ate your yew, no one touches it in our garden because it's poisonous. Hope it grows back :-)
