Kitties, Mom has not been good at getting pictures of us to do blog posts. This one is new, but otherwise, not much
Since today is Thursday I will tell you a little about our garden. Dad has planted some tomatoes and some peppers and various herbs in pots on the deck. He doesn't usually have a lot of luck with the tomatoes, but this year looks like it may be better. His goal is for ripe ones by then end of July since they aren't in full sun.
He also planted a bee balm to help attract the hummingbirds, and it finally has flowers. But we have seen ZERO hummingbirds at our feeders this year, which is very discouraging.
We will try to have some real garden pictures for next Thursday.
AND..................DRUMROLL.......................
The Baby is walking! And has been going to the swimming pool and is a real fish.
simba...dood...trust uz...KNOT seein burds whether they bee hummin, singin ore whistlin a toon... iza blessing !!!
ReplyDeleteN kewl mews on de wee babee !!!
No, we think we'd like to see hummingbirds. LOL. Actually, we have seen two, but only two, over the years.
ReplyDeleteBTW, our human's been getting LOTS of pics...but isn't posting them, so she's a fail at blogging right now.
As for the Baby--awwwwww. A pic of her swimming would be nice to see!
Well that's a darn good pic!!! I like those little hummers but there aren't too many around our place.
ReplyDeleteYou are very handsome in that photo Simba! We're glad your dad's plants are doing well! Our daddy didn't have luck with growing tomatoes and peppers in pots but we're sure he'll try again. We hope you see some hummers too! The little bean is already walking and swimming? She's growing up fast!
ReplyDeleteGood news on Baby! We just saw our first hummingbird last night at dusk! So happy to see them again. he he- we planted 1 tomato plant too in a pot and have already had 3 ripe tomatoes. They are sooo good right off the vine.
ReplyDeleteSimba, we haven't seen any hummingbirds at our feeder either, though the mom says she can hear them. We think our neighbor is stealing all the hummers from us. ;)
ReplyDeleteYAY for the baby walking...now look out!
At our house, it's US who don't want to do pictures for posts!
ReplyDeleteGreat news about the Baby! Hope the hummingbirds find your dad's bee balm soon. We haven't had the numbers here that we used to either.
The baby is walking~!!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful~!!!
And love your new photo!!
We're jealous of your hummingbirds. Every year Mom and Dad put out feeders but they never come. We think the wind on the beach might be too much for them.
ReplyDeleteThe Florida Furkids
That's a great pic!TW misses home grown tomatoes. They always had them in the garden when they had the house.
ReplyDeleteI can't have my container garden any more on accounta raccoons and possums terrorized me on the deck thru my wondow and ate the veggies and tore up the pots.
ReplyDeleteBrother left the US on the 28th of June and he'll be back July 19 I think it is. He is loving every single second. It's full on Winyer there and there is snow and cold temps in the South Island as it is called there in New Zealand.
xox
Ph and for the first time in too many years to count, mom gave up and took the hummingbird feeder down. Mom has never NOT had hummers till now. She saw a girl hummer at the feeder...and she left without drinking. That was it. :-((( Mommy is sad.
ReplyDeleteBlessings on your little grandbean. xox
Well that's exciting about the baby! Good luck on the tomatoes and peppers. Our tomatoes are doing well but the peppers are a little more iffy...
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the tomatoes mate.

Good luck with the tomatoes mate.

Neither of the humans here can grow anything! Which is why we almost never have garden posts. They would starve if they had to rely on themselves for veggies.
ReplyDeletecongrats on the baby walking!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait too see your garden photos!
Don't feel bad about new cat photos, my Mom is the same.
Love, Cody
eVerything sounds good.....PT
ReplyDeleteHow exciting that the baby is walking!
ReplyDeleteWe like that picture of you very much. We hope those hummers (and tomatoes) show up real soon!
Uh-oh. If that little baby is all walkeez now, she can hunt you down, ha ha meow! Better find the high-up hiding places ;-)
ReplyDeleteYou look verreh elegant there, Simba. I hope some a them herbs your Dad's growing are spelled c-a-t-n-i-p.
NO catnip this year, Spitty. The plant from last year died and he didn't start a new one, though he has promised to get one. Hmmff, it is the middle of July!
DeleteWe don't get humming birds here and we are so jealous.
ReplyDeleteLuv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
When Hannah referred to her little sister it's because Lucy is quite a lot lighter than her in weight and floof so she just looks littler. There probably is a slight age difference too (only about a month) as they aren't "real" sisters but came from the same house along with another hundred in a hoarding situation. They were put in the same cage with a few others (the RSPCA were over run with them all) and they have been "sisters" ever since.

We just LOVE hummingbirds...but they are pretty rare around here. Once Glogirly & Gloman stayed at a vacation home near Yosemite where there were TONS of hummingbirds. The couple that owned the adjacent home observed and researched them...they would even place bands on their little legs. The saw hundreds of them!!!
ReplyDeleteOne even flew up to Glogirly and fluttered right in front of her face...so close she could feel the wind from his speedy wings.
: )
No hummers? Awww... So sad. Maybe tomorrow...
ReplyDeletePurrs,
Nissy
Well, Simba, I think SOMEHUMAN should be getting the Back of Disrespect, and that's all I will say about THAT. Hrrrmph indeed.
ReplyDeleteWow, the garden sounds terrific. Nothing better than a fresh tomato. Yummy.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting that the baby is walking. Now the trouble begins. LOL. Take care.
That picture is quite nice! I would like to try for a garden some day. I'm not good with plants and have never tried to grow things. We had hummingbirds when we lived in California but haven't seen any since. I used to make my own sugar water.
ReplyDeleteYay for the baby!
We love that new picture of you. Very nice. The baby is walking..... WOW...
ReplyDeleteHave a great day.
hugs, Bugsy and Knuckles
Hi Buddy! Thanks for coming to visit so much ;-) Now, if you could only teach you and Audrey to type, cause clearly you can't rely on those Peeps to blog for you, MOL! Can you reach the computer???
