Photo Hunt- Empty

This is the inside of Audrey's dry food  feeder when it is EMPTY.

For comparison, this is what it looks like when Mom has filled it:

And this is what Audrey sees when she is waiting for it to turn and have one of those full compartments turn into the open position so she can eat it all up!   The sign on it is for the cat sitter.

Just so all you kitties know, Audrey gets a good breakfast and dinner of wet fuds every day but she finds it hard to wait long for her food and so the humans have the feeder give her these in between snacks, mostly to get her through the night so they can sleep.     Simba never bothers to eat from it.  He will eat a little dry food from a bowl during the night but he much much prefers his food wet and gravyfied.

  1. I find the empty compartments frightening. I am not sure my heart can take this.

  2. If that were here, Binga would eat all of it, no matter who it was meant for!

  3. My kitties prefer the wet food too, and they get kibble as their before bed snack. This looks like a good idea for Audrey since she can't seem to wait long enough for wet foodz to appear.

FYI and speaking of food -- I have a Cats in Boxes photo contest going on, and ten winners will get free food and treats! Hope you can enter.

  4. Audrey my girl, you know how to work it. I love your arrangement. I wonder if you still come to attention just before it opens as you did before?

Simba..gravified are us! I'm with you, Brother.

  5. That is a really nice feeder. I have one that is seldom used. It only has two compartments. It also has a small compartment for 'blue ice' in case you put wet food in it.

I only get one tablespoon of wet food a day, as a treat. I have a bowl of kibble that I eat from at night. I like finding out how other cats eat.

  6. We're able to have free feeding of the dry food, but our bowls are empty for our stinky goodness too often.

  7. Those empty spots are frightening! Our mommy thinks it'd be a great idea for us to have one of those for treats at night since I tend to wake up Mommy all through the night to give me treats. Do those come in 50 compartments that go off every 10 minutes?

  8. That looks like a excellent solution for Audrey's hungries...but we would spend all our time trying to get the feeder opened!

  9. Whew! I thought that was all the food she got. Wouldn't fill a cavity in me.

  10. Huh. Well, the portions to look a little skimpy (especially the EMPTY one!) but if they come three times a day, I guess it's not so bad. I think it was kinda mean of her to give such explicit instructions to the sitter, though, because you might've scored some extra.

  12. Audrey, that is a neat deal that the machine spits out food for you. We would finish that up in a skinny minute. We love the dry food. So we would all just gobble up that food in a skinny minute. Hope all of you have a super week end.

  13. That's a furry nice machine. It wouldn't work fur me coz I'd scarf it down, yak and be hungry coz Mom wasn't with me. The night time dry fuds in the bedroom works fur us. Mom can sleep more.

  14. Now that I am so much more interested in FOOD, it kinda scares me to see that thing empty.

And hey--if Simba leaves food in his dish, do you get to eat it up?? Cause that seems fair to me. I mean, it shouldn't go to waste, right?
