Last year in late October we had a minor snowstorm that caused lots and lots of tree limbs to break because of the fact that the trees still had their leaves on them. Now we are anticipating a combination of hurricane Sandy and an arctic storm bringing cold air to the northeast. Whether we will only have rain and wind, or snow again we do not know, but it is not likely to be a good situation. As Cathy Keisha said, the storm will blow the leaves off our deck! But I expect that it will blow even more ONTO our deck. Dad cleared all the leaves off the lawn and gave the grass a final mow of the season yesterday. I think we and many other coastal kitties are going to need your purrs, furriends.
You guys be safe! No blowing away!
ReplyDeleteWe have been reading about Sandy's approach and will be keeping all paws, hooves and fingers crossed for our friends.
ReplyDeleteThe hurricane is passing us right now. We've had a few squalls of rain, but it's not too bad. HH is staying home today, so that's a good side effect.
ReplyDeleteHave a good day and everybuddy stay safe.
hugs, Max, Bugsy and Knuckles
Absolutely sweet kittehs. I have been following this hurricane with intense interest as has Mommy. This one is a booger!
ReplyDeleteWe heard only a vague mention about "Sandy," because our mom's not been watching much news lately. We didn't realize it was threatening populated coastal areas now. Please be safe! Lots of purrs from us!
ReplyDeleteWe are all sending purrs to you and to everyone in the path of evil Sandy. Take care gang and give us an update as soon as the storm passes please.
ReplyDeletePrepare well and be very careful! We've been hearing about this even on our local weather reports! We'll be thinking about you.
ReplyDeleteWE sure are thinking about all of you. Hope that maybe that darn Hurricane will just go out to sea. But batten down those hatches anyway. We wish you tons of luck.
ReplyDeleteBe safe. We are hoping that this is all hype and all our friends will be okay.
ReplyDeleteI hope that hurricane is as wimpy as its name. Sandy. Hmmph.
ReplyDeleteWe'll be thinking (and worrying) about you and all the kitties in that path. Stay safe and warm! Purrs...
ReplyDeleteMommy just said HOLY Guacamole! (We has NO idea what that means, BTW)
ReplyDeleteYou guys be safe! We remember what nasty snowstorms can do with leaves still on the trees. NO power!
Hunker down and ride out Frankenstorm in safety! Let us know you're okay, too....okay?

Please be safe! We're outside of Philadelphia, so we're the inland our shore neighbors head to during weather like this. Sandy is a big one though, we'll need a little bit of luck to retain power throughout the storm. All those tree limbs bring down the power lines. Everyone make sure your iPads and cell phones are charged up. They may be the only link to the outside world!
ReplyDeleteStay safe!
ReplyDeleteI will be doing lots of purring! We live all the way over on the West Coast and the news has been talking about this weather event a lot!
ReplyDeleteWe are purring that you all stay safe and sound!!
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna be right in the middle of this Sandy stuff too. Paws crossed that it fizzles out.
