We love to go out on the deck, as most of you know. We will cry to be let out, starting from breakfast time. That is why this photo is so surprising. It must have been close to dinner time.
We seldom get so close to each other without there being a chase and tussle.
You two look like you are the best of buddies there.
ReplyDeleteI know you secretly adore your sister Simba.
ReplyDeleteAre you two plotting how to get mommy to hold the door open you you can stand on the threshhold..you sides going in and out, breathing the air and making..or trying to make a decision on whether the grass is greener inside the house or outside on the deck. Play your cards right and you can be standing there deciding for MINUTES before your mom gets impatient and helps you along with the toe of her footie..
ReplyDeleteAdmiral is so right!
ReplyDeleteThe mom's laughing at the Admiral's comment, because of course that's what we do...and what the mom does too. :-)
ReplyDeleteBTW, we usually tussle on the doorstep when we want to come in for our treats or stinky goodness. Sometimes it takes the mom forever to get to us in the mornings (she moves so slowly!) so we have time for a great wrasslin' match! (That's after our allotted kibble, of course. We get that, then we go out into the back space, then we want back in for the treats. Ha.)
What happened to your harnesses, do you no longer wear them outside?
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute picture!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletexxxxxxxxx
In response to Cat's question, we usually don't wear our harnesses on the deck now that it seems pretty clear Audrey is not an escaper. The stairs are blocked off with mesh and it is too high for us to be likely to jump. We DO usually wear out collars with our license tags on them, but on this particular occasion, Dad let us out for a bit without putting the collars on.
ReplyDeleteWe love the shot - and you do look like best buddies. And your humans are too polite to put up pics of the tussles!
ReplyDeleteThanks Cat, I was going to ask the same thing. I wondered where the harnesses were. We do the same thing, to the door and just stand there. Drives our Mom nuts. Then they all want to come back in. Never happy.Take care and have a great day. Tell Mom, email on the way to her.
ReplyDeleteWe get the toe round our bottoms if it's cold and mum is holding the door - you may well ask why is she holding the door when we've got a flap but sometimes she's a bit slow!! ha ha.
ReplyDeleteLuv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
I hope you got dinner. I think I see you two wasting away as cats will if food is even a minute late...
ReplyDeleteI can tell by the scattering of dry leaves that fall has definitely come to your house! Ours too, although our leaves aren't as nice as yours.
ReplyDeleteYep, you sure can't tell that from your picture! Happy weekend!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend.. Hope you get lots of deck time.
ReplyDeletepawhugs, Max
You two are so cute together! We like Admiral's comment too. We don't go outside but we do the same thing with any closed door in the house since it's always best to be on the other side of the door than we are on!

noms...the great equalizer!
ReplyDeleteMaybe you should eat al fresco??
ReplyDeleteYou look so friendly! Scarlett and Melly are like that too: they're best buds when it's time to eat. At all other times, their relationship is frosty, to say the least.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you could give Fuzzy Tales' Nicki & Derry a run for their money--instead of Tuesday Tussles you could have Wrasslin' Wednesdays?
ReplyDeleteKittehs who are in always want out, and kittehs who are out always want it. At least it seems that way to the Cat Butler!!!
ReplyDeleteLOL, I rarely get that close to Harley, too!
ReplyDeleteYou two are like my Aunt Bea and Uncle Irvin. Only "friends" when necessary.
