Thursday Gardening Post

::three paw taps::

Posting late today because my assistant had to take my Dad to the doctor for a follow up visit - he had some tunnels built in his hands or something like that last Friday. He is doing great, they said.
This photo is from last Thursday - most of that snow has melted, but we are expecting more snow tomorrow!! April Fools joke NOT.
Outside gardening is yet to begin, but Dad did buy some lettuce seeds. They want to try to grow their own salad greens. This picture is of some of the indoor "Garden" - the narcissus plant has really come up suddenly and fast. In the background is an orchid my Dad tends lovingly. It is called Phalaenopsis Sunset.
Does anycat know what the green plant is called? Srsly, we don't know.
And I guess this picture will be what it looks like for the doves tomorrow!

Head on over to Jonesie's blog to see what she is up to!

  1. Simba, the flowers are lovely, but sorry, we can't identify the plant. The mom knows only a few common ones; she's not much of a gardener. :-P

    March is ending on a snowy note for us, so we feel for you, if you're getting some tomorrow. It's LONG past time for warm weather and GREEN grass.

    And we're glad your dad's doing well! Hurrah!

  2. We are glad to hear your dad's tunnel work has helped--we mean, what if he couldn't pet you! That would be sad!

    Oh, those doves look cold! Doves are one of Teri's favorite birdies, ours too, hahameow!

  6. Admiral, thanks for the suggestion re the plant. No, it seems softer than dracaena and all green. Frondy but not a fern. It was one small plant in an indoor plant garden Mom got once as a gift, and the only one that survived getting too dried out. I LOVE nomming it so they have to keep it in the locked away room.

  10. Hi Simba... hope you get to have flowers outside soon too... Saw your comment today. You're right that Bugsy does look a lot like me in the face... except I'm whiter around the mouth. But the likeness is what first drew HH to the boys... it grabbed her heart cause she thought she was looking at my face. You are very observant, Simba.

    Have a great day.

    pawhugs, Max

    We love the plants, but are terrible at names.
