Some Words Wednesday

Kitties, I am in a bad mood.  Because MOM is in a bad mood.   She is very frustrated with the new verification process to post comments where she has to identify all the sushis, or all the soups, or all the signs of a particular type etc to prove she is not a robot.     Poll your humans:  who else HATES it!  (the sushi seems to be the only one she can get right!)

Pee Ess:   It seems that if your blog is set for embedded comments below the post, it isn't necessary.  It only comes up if the comments appear in a pop-up box.   So if you check your blog settings, you could help some kitties out!

  1. Yup - paws up here. We don't like it either and it stops our Loyal Readers commenting. Pöh.

  2. You don't have to do the captcha thing if you're logged in under a Google account, you can just submit the comment. I don't know if it's the same if you don't have a Google account, though.

    2. surely you don't need G+. How about mine? Do you have to do the sushi thing with mine as well?

  5. You're right about the changing the comments to being embedded gets rid of the captcha. I hate the stupid find all the pizzas or beef or chicken dishes...

  6. Hmmm...I need to check my blog. I like where you just need to check a box.

On a brighter note, you look quite regal on your blankie, Simba!

  7. It depends on the comment set up - if the comment area is set up only for Google accounts and the other, sign-in option (just two radio buttons and no Anonymous option), then you don't need to do the captcha verification at all. If it's the four-radio button option, or the one WITH the Anonymous option, then it makes you do the verification more often. I never have to verify with yours because it doesn't have the Anonymous commenter option.

  8. Oh, I should add, IOW, if you just submit without clicking "I'm not a robot" on the NO-anonymous option comments, it'll go right through... so don't click it! Give it a try.

  9. We recently changed back from embedded to pop up but if no boxes are checked on the pop up, it should go right through. If not, we'll have to change back to embedded. Blogger makes us mad too!

  12. We've been able to just ignore those boxes asking if we're a robot and we've been able to comment just fine. But we agree, we don't like those captcha thingeys...so we don't blame you for being in a bad mood.

  13. That sushi thing makes us kind of hungry. But you're so right ... it's a pain!

  14. If the catchpa ever comes up when I want to leave a comment, I just ignore it and it still goes through no problem.

  15. You are one handsome man cat! And those captcha things are always annoying! We wish they would go away too.

  16. We changed to embeded comments to help everyone out, but when we comment on blogger blogs in pop-up box now, we just ignore the "prove you're not a robot" box completely and just click on post comment and it seems to work fine!
