Thursday on the Deck

::Meoww::
The deck is really our version of the garden.  We had a serious cold snap so it is good Dad had not yet put out any plants there.   But soon there will be some, we are sure.

When we are in we ask to go out, but as you can see, when we are out, if there is any chance of a meal or snack, we ask to come in!  This was at (our perceived)  dinner time yesterday.

  1. Mom and the family used to smile at Robin, who came long before me..she was our last indoor outdoor girl. When she asked to go out, she would stand on the threshhold, breathing in and out..her wee sides moving (mom and her sons thought that was so cute! Go figure!!!) and still she'd just stand there till one of the boys or mom "helped" her make up her furry mind.

    Same with coming in except when she was bringing in the lastest trophey from her hunting (she was an excellent hunter..more's the pity). THEN she'd shoot in before we saw her mouth was full. Too late then.

  4. Wow--you are all eager to come in for dinner aren't you? I am sure you deserved to eat after all that outside time.

  5. Human should always be at the door, waiting for kitties to let them know whether they want in or out. It's part o their job description.

  6. We live on the third floor, so no in and out for us. Enjoy.

  7. Well of course, this is the natural order of things. If you're out, you want in. If you're in, you want out. Purrfect!

  8. We've got a deck too and you're right... excellent garden spot. The sun always makes the best puddles there. So warm and comfy.

  9. Why are you coming back in the house? Is it cold out?

  10. Well, at least you have some sunshine on your deck! That should help it be less cold!!

  11. It's very important to come in at dinner time! We're surprised your mom and dad kept you waiting though. That door needs to open pronto!

  15. Our former upstairs neighbor in the house had 6 cats and they were always in and out. 2 would go out and 3 would come in. Peeps found it amusing. Our garden is on our windowsill. Peeps just bought a new basil and now the old one they thought was finished has new shoots. Enjoy the weather.
