Sunday at the Movies - Audrey and the Feeder

Kitties, you see, Audrey actually has a little PIGGY living in her tummy.  She is a total food hound and when she first came to live here,  Mom and Dad tried 2 or 3 regular meals a day, but she was still always pestering them for food.   And she would wake up very early in the mornings.  So the humans got her the same kind of automatic feeder she had at her other home and they have it dispense a small meal of dry food with some water on it at 12 noon, 10 pm and 5 am.    So when it gets anywhere near "feeder time" she lies in her beddie in the kitchen and waits for it.    On this occasion, Mom picked up the camera just before lunch and thought she would film Audrey's reaction when the feeder whirred to provide the lunch.   But here is what happened.    We think Audrey has psychic powers.   Have your sound on.

The label on top of the feeder is the instructions for our cat sitter for the one weekend the humans were willing to leave us.   It is quite complicated!

  1. Your instructions remind me of the almost bound volume I had (I THINK I'm kidding) for Admiral and all her quirks and instructions hee hee)

I loved seeing this! Loved the title too. How appropriate. I will come back and watch it again.

  4. Oh it is so good to see Mom Carole starting to make visits.
Audrey, you are just too funny. You sure know what time it is going to spit food at you. Well done. You remind us of a few of the residents around here. Take care and have a super Sunday.

  5. Yep.... Audrey has the timing down perfectly on that. What about you Simba... do you eat there too?

  6. No, Max, I pay no attention to Audrey's feeder. But my humans give me some lunch in another room, and while Audrey gets her snacks during the night at 10 pm and 5 am, I get to nibble all night long from my bowls. The humans just have to keep us separate at night. Then for breakfast and dinner we get fed at the same time. (yes, that is a lot of meals!!)

  7. That's awesome! I'm gonna tell Santa to bring one of those to my kitties so maybe they'll let me sleep in the morning!

  8. Audrey, you are psychic!! We think that feeder noise would scare us a little bit...but once we found out food was in there, we'd get used to it quick!! ;)

Simba, as far as Ernie in the tree...yeah, it freaked our mom out...alot! But it didn't stop her from grabbing the flashy box before getting him out. He's climbed the tree several times now...about halfway up. Fortunately, most of the ornaments are unbreakable ones. Now that mom has photographic evidence of Ernie in the tree, she's been watching him closely to make sure he does no more climbing. I wonder if she'll show those photos to Santa Paws??

  10. Hehehe - Mystic Audrey1 Äiti has said that probably the motor starts off with a high frequency whizzing that only we cats here and maybe that¨s why she moves. We know better though, don't we!
And Äiti also muttered 'thyroid'? when she saw Audrey's petite shape and read what a piggy porker she is. Tuomo was very demanding like this, and almost bullied Äiti into feeding him. Now he's on tablets and weighs about 85kg more! We hope AUdrey doesn't have this problem of course - we just hope she has hollow legs - she certainly doesn't have a belly!

  14. Audrey's tummy is well trained. What does she do when the time changes?

  15. Ha Ha. Derby and Ducky, she resists changing! Dinner was at 6 during the summer, but she wants it at 5 now. The dark doesn't help!!

  16. Audrey is psychic when it comes to her food! She was starving by the time that thing whirred though! :) That was fun to watch!

  17. How funny!

That feeder thing is a cool idea- I may need to look into that. Melly has a hard time portioning out her food and tends to just wolf it all down right away.

  18. this was too funny! I am impressed that the sound of it didn't scare her away.

Do you like it? I am thinking that maybe that is a good idea. I like how the water can come down on the dry food.
