Then overnight we got 6 inches of SNOW! I am telling you, kitties, one could take a nap around here and wake to a completely different climate.

Monday Update
What a lot of different weathers we had the past few days! Thursday and Friday it was so warm that a lot of our snow melted, which really helped clean things up (it went up to 60 F)! Then on Saturday it was super freezing, and very windy. But I had had a taste of going on the deck on Friday, so I was asking to go out, not realizing how nasty it was. I did get a little deck time yesterday, but it was not too much fun, because Mom was hassling Dad about watching me very closely, because I didn't have my new collar and tag on and also because they had seen the hawk up in the air nearby. Dad counted birds for the Great Backyard Bird Count yesterday, and the hawk was included in his count, so he is excited, because he will be able to upload one of his hawk pictures to the GBBC website. He also saw several different varieties of woodpeckers, who are such cute birdies. The 40 or so grackles, not so much.

ReplyDeleteMan how do your furs know what to do when the weather is so unpredictable?!
ReplyDeleteThat does sound very weird, Simba! We have been getting rain, rain and more rain. The fields are so soggy they are dangerously slippery (says #1!)!
ReplyDeletePurrs,
The Chans
Our weather was just like that too, Simba!! We got like 10 inches of snow yesterday and last night!! YUCK!!
ReplyDeleteWe were watching the birdies yesterday. We had some blue jays and downy woodpeckers. But mostly finches.
Wow, you are really getting hit with who-knows-what! Blink and it changes. Who knows when you will be able to get consistent deck time?
ReplyDeleteHI Simba you look very gorgeous sitting in the doorway. Your weather is about as unpredictable as ours. Well we don't have the snow but the temps are up and down.
ReplyDeleteMadi
We hope the snow stays away down here. Sorry you got snow, no deck time.
ReplyDeleteKassey

Simba, hang on to that winter coat! Sounds like you still need it.
ReplyDeleteSC has been really sunny for the past week of so. It was almost 80 today! Unfortunately, I'm an indoor kitty on the 3rd floor of an apartment, so I don't get to enjoy weather...or the birdies much.
ReplyDeleteSimba, Believe me Collar free is the best !!!

We have seen a lot of robins lately. But we didn't do the backyard count. What fun. Those darn hawks can be naughty.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the purrs for Lucky.
We counted birdies in our yard too but we forgot to tell Mommy how many we saw. We're getting another blast of winter this week too. We're so ready for Spring!
ReplyDeleteWeather is nuts!
