Thursday in the Garden with Simba
Hello kitties! Here's the gardening news from my deck:
The impatiens have really filled out and are looking pretty good, I think. With all the hot weather, Dad has moved the planters to keep them mostly in the shade, which they seem to like. There are four of them. He is also really good about watering everything a lot. On account of I can't do it myself, otherwise of course I would.
My catnip plant is getting quite full and actually flopping over. There are quite a lot of flowers on it - I am not sure if it would grow better if we pinched off the flowers but we like them!
And the last bit of gardening news is that we have several cherry tomatoes ripening and very close to being ready for picking! No good picture to show you. My servant is slacking off on the photography.

Very cool about your garden! Ours is doing well too--but I hope that it stays hydrated and good until everything is harvested!
ReplyDeleteWOW! Cherry tomatoes are great fun to whap around. We bet yoo can't wait for them to ripen ready for play!
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are looking very nice! And that's an amazing catnip plant too. If you pinch off the flowers/tops it will make it grow a bit more bunchier instead of tall and floppy. We cut ours back all the time!
ReplyDeleteYour impatients still look good in spite of all the hot weather! Y'know what?? The vishus deer came last week and ate our impatients right out of the flower box that's on the window of our shed!! We hope the flowers will come back, but we don't know if they will.
ReplyDeleteThose flowers look so pretty, especially with the backdrop of those nice trees.
ReplyDeleteYour impatiences looks very purrty. And of course you gets daddy to water, that's what they is good for. My mommy does our waterings.
ReplyDeleteThe impatiens and catnip look terrific! And the cherry tomatoes will be yummy! :-)

Those impatients are really pretty. And look at all that great catnip. You lucky cat, to have all that. Good for Dad to water the plants. Our assistant let some of our flowers die. Don't know what her problem is.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day.
Your flowers are very pretty and the catnip plant is looking huge! You'll have nip through the winter! Our daddy's tomatoes are just starting so they are still little and green and not quite whapping size yet.
ReplyDeleteLook at all that nip! You are one lucky kitty Simba :-)
ReplyDeleteJust nom on the nip flowers Simba and then no one needs to pinch anything!
ReplyDeleteYour deck is lovely and you and your beans are doing an awesome job of keeping it looking lovely.
