Today is NOMS Day, a day to celebrate our other species friends and encourage tolerance and friendship. Thanks to The Cat Realm for the great badge! Here at our house, I am the only inside pet, but outside we have bird feeders that attract a lot of birds, even a hummingbird feeder that has frequent visits from one female hummingbird. She is SO fast, I have no picture. Then we have chipmunks running around our stone wall, and even a woodchuck who visits quite a lot. Yup, no pictures.
However, the most exciting visitors this summer have been the deer - it is hard to call them VISHUS deer, because the little ones are so cute. The main visitors we see are two different mamas, one with a single fawn and another with twins. Dad thinks the younger Mom of the singleton is the daughter of the other one. Here are some pictures:
Inside the house, I have to be satisfied with some very quiet NOMS friends, like Mr/Miss seal here:
You are so lucky to get deer! They do live nearby - my human has seen them on walks - but they don't come down into the neighborhoods.
ReplyDeleteThose deer look super cute!!! We've got sheep in the field opposite and I think they are quite vishus!!
ReplyDeleteThe deer sure are super cute Simba!
ReplyDeleteOhhhh Bambi!!!! Sooooooooo precious!
ReplyDeleteAgainst my better judgement I have to agree with you, those deer don't look at all vishus. If I were you I would still keep a can of VDR* handy just in case.
ReplyDelete*Vishus Deer Repellant.
What a cute little baby polka dotted deer! We wish we had some of those in our yard!
ReplyDeleteThey are cute but.... who knows what will they grow up to be??

Simba, you have a lot of NOMs near you! You look cute next to the quiet one on the chair.
ReplyDeleteAw, how sweet!
ReplyDeleteP.S. We think Caroline is our NOMS.
You're right, Simba, that baby deer is too cute to be vishus.
ReplyDeleteYes, deer are probably not vishus until they get bigger, Those babies are squee material. :)
ReplyDeleteWe agree that little deer are very cute, and big ones are pretty cute to!
