I don't have a new selfie for you today, but thought I would share this picture of me up on the dining room table a few days ago. I don't get up there a lot, preferring the couch and the leather chair, but sometimes I like to make sure the humans realize that EVERYWHERE in the house is mine, including the table, even if there is a tablecloth on it. How do YOUR humans feel about you resting or sleeping on the tablecloth?
Good for you for asserting your dominance over the lowly servant humans!
ReplyDeleteAlas, we can't really get up on our table, because it's so small and is taken up with the laptop and a small lamp! But we do assert our dominance in many other ways, of course. :-)
So often our DR table is covered with stuff too! So this was a rare thing for more than one reason.
DeleteWe took over the table tops. Mom caved! Bah ha ha ha!!
ReplyDeleteWhat's a table cloth ? Surely it's just a cat blankie on a table ? No, we have no such thing as Äiti gave up a long time ago with them. We go EVERYWHERE, especially the places which Äiti does not realise.
ReplyDeleteMum tells me I am unusual because I have never even tried to get on the table. I sometimes walk along the work surface near the computer desk though.
ReplyDeleteDoes it matter what they think? I do what I want when I want!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a tablecloth on our dining table... but Boodie and sometimes Binga hang out there all the time! I'm not that into it - I prefer just a chair.
ReplyDeleteMe always !
ReplyDeleteI have my bed there as well because my human not often use dining table, they use the couch :)
Simba, we think that is a great idea to sit on the table. We just sit where ever we want, that is for sure. You do know that cat rule.Have a great Sunday.
ReplyDeleteYay, Simba! You look great up there. There is a lot of stuff on our dining table too including a desktop and laptop computer, but just lately Pierrot has decided he belongs up there too. Anyway, it's always good to see you! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's good that you do that often Simba. Humans are forgetful and need retraining often.
ReplyDeleteSince cats rule, mom is OK with what we do. She ia away from home so long,
she knows we do it anyway :)

Hey Simba, if it wasn't supposed to be sat on or laid on it wouldn't be there!

ReplyDeleteSimba, I'm a table-layer. And usually the mom doesn't care if I'm laying on the table. The only time I can't be there is when the peeps are eating. ~Wally
ReplyDeleteMy Human rarely bothers to put a tablecloth on the table, but when she does you can bet your bottom dollar I am layin' on it if I feels like it. I walk all over the dining room table, insist that my kitty grass be available to me there and she can whine about it all she wants to--it ain't changing.
ReplyDeleteI'm like Spitty. I walk where I want...I lay where I want...this is my home. I do enough letting her stay in it.
ReplyDeleteYup, we go up on tables all the time. Only the dinin' room table has a cloth on it and the peeps ALWAYS was it immediately before use. It's like they think we have germs or somethin'. MOUSES!
ReplyDeletePurrs,
Nissy
Exactly the same here!
DeleteI am not permitted on the table and I know it...but...I do it ALL of the time. Sometimes I get yelled at and sometimes I don't....go figure! Love, Cody
ReplyDeleteNo, that a big NO for us but we don't like getting up there anyway because our mom won't put a tablecloth down. Can you believe that? It's like we're not civilized around here or something!
ReplyDeleteHe is so handsome. We love your site!
ReplyDeleteOur tablecloth is covered with plastic so I go up there whenever I want.
ReplyDeleteWell, we suppose that's why that tablecloth is there, Simba. Good on ya, buddy!
ReplyDeleteI'm usually quite good about tablecloths! I like to make sure they are correctly laid before I shed a bucket load of fur just where the food goes :)
ReplyDeleteYou look adorable. I let the kitties get on the kitchen table, but the diningroom is the only no cats zone in the house because all the plants are in there.
ReplyDeleteand we love the lighting on that photo too - beautiful!
