All the butterflies have moved on, so you would have thought the mania for using the Mackerel setting on the camera would be over. But, no. dad came to Mom and said "Quick, bring the camera with the Macro setting on to the basil plant".
In other matters, Audrey is keeping up with her naps and Daddy snuggles:
and Simba keeps his belleh cool with all that floof but lying belly up near the a/c vent! (of course August was delightfully like Fall, now it is September, it is hot again)
Your mom was brave to get that bee photo with the mackerel! Audrey, you sure look comfy and cozy on your daddy! Aren't they the bestest to snuggle with? Simba, we love seeing your floofy tummy while you cool it off at the A/C vent!
Simba Mom was out photographing bumblebees yesterday with her macro len. MOL She complained at how fast the bumbles were. Too fast she got lots of blurry pictures, but a handful turned out.
Those bumbles are a handful to take pictures of. They move like lightening when they want to. Your Bumble looks so delightful and Simba...you and I do the same thing but you are so handsome you make me feel faint looking at you. Audrey, keep your daddy busy with you.
We're wondering what it is too - a bee maybe? They do like the basil. Looking good, Miss A! Nice snuggle technique! And your manly floors are awesome as always dood!

ReplyDeleteIt's been hot here...and too humid! Thank cod for the cold air blowing thingy! Stay cool!
ReplyDeleteooooh! Mommy loves bees! She saw a praying mantis in our garden just this evening.
ReplyDeleteTummy squee! What gorgeous ginger bellies.
ReplyDeleteJust keep the bee at a long paw's distance from you. They bite.
You kids look terrific (especially Lady Audrey, of course), but what is that THING?
ReplyDeleteGreat pic!
ReplyDeleteYes, that's exactly what has happened with our weather, too. We nearly roasted yesterday at a college ballgame. 108 degrees! Whew!
My human is always trying to get bee photos, but she is a chicken, and I think that is why she has such a hard time getting good photos of them.
ReplyDeleteAWW, Simba, you look so over-heated! You need a fan!
ReplyDeleteI hope y'all get some cool on the tummy! Love the pics!

ReplyDeleteNice bumblebee shot! But Simba cooling off in front of the AC is so funny.
ReplyDeleteWe are hoping that our lovely sunshine will last a little longer. It has been so long since we had a truly good summer!
ReplyDeleteOur #1 is a pretty heavy-duty "mackerel" person too...
Purrs,
The Chans
Simba sweet boy, it seems girl cats like their daddy's and you man cats like your moms. I see Audrey loves her daddy.
ReplyDeleteIt's a BEE??? What--has it been hanging around that Fukushima Nuclear Plant or sumfing? It is just plain terrifying.
ReplyDeleteSame here Simba and I also am near the ac vent! LOVE the bee. Your mom and mine have mackerel shots in common.
