Saturday Snuggles

Audrey here, friends.  I am doing OK.   My vet had to increase my dosage of methimazole because my T4 levels were still elevated when checked 10 days ago (13, down from 23.  Goal is below 4).   The higher dose means for the first time I don't actually clean my food bowl instantly when I eat.   That is good because I sure was eating a lot of food for a kitty my size.

I do seem to be more subdued.   My humans have some concern that I am starting to scratch at my face  between my eyes and ears more, and they are monitoring that.

Here I enjoy a little snuggle while websurfing with my Dad.

  8. Audrey, that is brought about by the meds I fink. Admiral didn;t but we have read that some kitties do, and close contact with your v-e-t will help. XXXOOOXXX Tell him/her about it soon.

  9. Fanks, Katie. We did already. He said our humans can use a little cortisone cream to limit the itchies. Of course Audrey doesn't like having the cream put on too much.

  10. Audrey, we hope the vet can get your medicine regulated to help you. We've heard that it may require tweaking. You look very comfy there.

  11. Audrey, I didn't know you have hyper-t. Lucy had it too but it was actually very well maintained with the dose of methimazole she was on. I hope they'll find the perfect dose for you soon and that you'll feel good with no itchies.

  15. When our Holly had the thyroid problems, it took a couple of tries to adjust the medicine. Glad you are enjoying that Dad. We never had any scratching problems. But the subdued part is probably to do with the thyroid. We sure hope you can get to feeling better.Take care.
