Dad says soon we will have to take the tree down, till another one appears next year. Mom always reacts by saying "We have hardly spent any time in the Tree Room" - and "Can't we leave it up a little longer?" Anyway, since I never did show you a picture of our whole tree, this just proves that it did go all the way to the top, and even has an angel on the very top. Since there is a football game Dad will be going to on Sunday, maybe Mom will get her way and we can keep it up for one extra week.
When do the trees come down at your houses? Are they "real" trees or artificial ones? Do the kitties try to climb the tree? My human brother said he was half-expecting their doggie Josie to drag the tree across the room one day because she LOVES sticks of all kinds. But she was good.
Our tree comes down the day after the 12th day of Christmas, the 6th of January (or thereabouts). It's a real tree. Strangely enough, neither Sei-Chan nor Yuu-Chan tried to climb it, although Tama-Chan did last year, when she was still a kitten.
ReplyDeleteWe have 2 artificial trees that we take down about New Years Day.
ReplyDeleteYou have a nice tree.

We don't get a tree :( something about kitties climbing it. I'm not sure what kitties they're talking about, must be some outside kitties...
ReplyDeleteOur tree will come down on New Year's Day. It's the day the Woman has off and her mother used to do it that day too--I guess the season is officially over. Normally they have a fake tree but the cheap ($10) fake tree the Woman had was getting ragged looking so this year they shopped for a fake one, but they were all so expensive so the Male waited until now to order one. In the meantime, they got a real one...
ReplyDeleteSimba, we have an artificial tree and our humans are doing the same thing, one wants to put it away and one wants it up awhile longer. It's a nice little tree. We like it and we are especially interested in a few of the ornaments on it. (hee hee) In fact, we have knocked the same two ornaments off the tree a few times, even though they keep getting put back in a different spot on the tree!
ReplyDeleteHave a very happy New Year
ReplyDeleteand a wonderful and happy 2010 :-)

We don't have a tree either. But not because of climbing, because of some felines' chomping habits. Not I, the prince doesn't eat what isn't edible (well, most of the time lol)!

We had a pre-lit (not fiber-optic, just came with strings of lights already on it) tree this year, fake, and yes, when the lights went out for the first time the three little ones climbed in it and laid in it. We took it down last weekend because our 2 1/2 year old great-nephew is spending this week with us.
